Hello!
Welcome to High Tech High North County. Although this is my third year with High Tech High, 2021 marks my 20th consecutive year in education, having worked among middle school, high school, and adult community education programs all across San Diego County! I have spent my career focused on inclusion and equity for all students; supporting student access to academic instruction and facilitating their transition from high school towards adult independence, college and careers.
I am a lifelong learner, endlessly seeking to learn about anything and everything, wanting to have a better understanding and appreciation of our world. While I am most interested in learning histories, sciences and psychology, in my pastime, I enjoy reading research studies and imagining up new ones. Lately, I've been learning about and experimenting with permaculture gardening and sustainable living. Ask me about my hügelkultur experiments!
The most important thing I want you to know about me is that I am dedicated to honoring the individual human experience of others in all aspects of my life, and I strive to model respect and consideration, always. I'll be honored to meet you!
My "digital portfolio" was created to support current HTHNC students, and all who have access to this page are welcome to explore the resources and information found here. I will continue to add resource links and information as often as I am able to.
I am happy to assist if you have any questions or need help accessing post-secondary and community supports.
